Sorry but I really have to say Valentine's day, in the long long history of modern human being, has created countless wars between men and women (or men&men; women&women, whatever).
Men say this valentine thing is WAY TOO COMMERCIAL, totally not worth celebrating.
Women say if you don't bring me flowers and gifts, you don't love me.
*Note: I'm not trying to generalize all situations here, I'm simply referring to most cases I've heard or experienced over the years.
A very typical conversation:
Woman: Valentine's Day is coming next week, I'm so happy. How are you gonna celebrate it this year?
Man: Celebrate? Didn't I buy flowers last year? And the year before last, remember? The dinner that cost me 5 grands?
Woman: Then why not this year?
